Research related to the inventory of bird species kept by the community in six villages in East Yapen District was conducted in November 2022. The purpose of the study was The purpose of this study was to determine the types of pet birds that are protected according to Law No. 5 of 1990 and PP No. 7/1999, to determine the factors that motivate bird maintenance, to determine how to obtain these birds, to determine efforts to maintain these birds. The method used in this study is the Observation and Data Collection method. The results of the inventory that has been carried out obtained 8 species of birds, namely Tricholossus haematodus, Lorius lorry, Psedeos puscata, Electus roratus, Cacatua galerita, Casuarius bennetti, Ducula rufigaster, Cracticus cassius, in 6 locations.
