Diarrheal diseases remain a major health problem in Indonesia. Guava leaves (Psidium guajava L.) have long been used by the community as a traditional medicine. This study aims to examine the active compounds in guava leaves, their effectiveness in inhibiting diarrhea-causing bacteria, and the processing methods. The results show that tannins, flavonoids, and essential oils play a crucial role in constricting the intestinal mucosa and inhibiting the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria.
