Abstract

Organic fertilizers, including poultry manure and liquid organic fertilizer (POC), hold significant potential in enhancing the productivity of horticultural plants sustainably. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of these two types of fertilizers in supporting the growth and yield of horticultural plants such as mustard, chili peppers, and other crops. Poultry manure, rich in essential macro-nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, has been proven to improve soil structure, increase fertility, and support vegetative growth by increasing leaf count and stem length. On the other hand, liquid organic fertilizers provide nutrients that are rapidly absorbed by plants, accelerating growth phases and improving the quality of crop yields. The combination of both fertilizers results in a synergistic effect, where poultry manure enhances soil fertility over the long term, while liquid organic fertilizer delivers nutrients quickly and efficiently. Several studies indicate that the application of both fertilizers to horticultural plants leads to significant increases in productivity, both in quantity and quality of the harvest. Thus, the use of poultry manure and liquid organic fertilizer not only improves agricultural yields but also promotes environmentally friendly and sustainable farming practices. This research is expected to offer guidance to farmers in implementing effective and eco-friendly fertilization methods in horticultural cultivation.
